State Budget Includes Wins in Child Health and Increased Reimbursement for PCPs

Last month, Governor DeWine signed the 2024-2025 state budget, HB 33.  HB 33 contained many historic investments in child health, including increased reimbursement for primary care providers. The Ohio Department of Medicaid recently released additional details on the upcoming increases. Additional information on the changes and timelines can be found below. In addition, Ohio AAP leadership will be meeting with Medicaid leaders over the next few weeks to continue bringing focus to Ohio’s pediatricians and advocate for additional primary care rate increases. We will keep members updated as information becomes available.

This is a big win for providers in the state and we thank you for your support and advocacy in helping to achieve these endeavors!
