General Information
We are stronger together! The Ohio AAP’s partnership with all of Ohio’s Medicaid Managed Care Plans (MCPs) is an alliance built to improve health outcomes for Ohio’s children. This partnership will use evidence-based education and quality improvement science to advance practice transformation and improve health outcomes for kids.
Ohio’s children and families benefit when payors and providers collaborate to increase the effectiveness of population health interventions. Areas of focus include: improving rates in: wellness visits and immunization rates.
“When we were looking to identify organizations that we wanted to work with on not only helping us improve outcomes for our members, but also for all kids in Ohio, we didn’t look farther than the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. We know that through unique partnerships we can make great strides in improving health outcomes for Ohio’s children. When providers and payors find common ground to work together, Ohio’s children thrive” said Dr. Srinivas Merugu, Vice President of Population Health and Chief Medical Officer, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Ohio, one of Ohio’s Medicaid Managed Care Plans.
