The Ohio AAP is in planning stages of a new project that will address infant mortality through innovative approaches to interconception care (ICC). Using the lessons of the March of Dimes IMPLICIT Toolkit, this project will empower pediatric primary care practices to address maternal health during well-child visits for children from birth to two years of age.
At this time the Chapter is seeking Ohio AAP members to serve in advisory capacities on this project. A select number of physicians with expertise in the project areas will receive an honorarium and be engaged in the project leadership team; the time commitment and exact roles of leaders are still flexible. Any member with interest in this project who meets the requirements described below is encouraged to contact Hayley Southworth at hsouthworth@ohioaap.org. In your contact, please share areas of expertise and how you may wish to be involved in the project.
