Ohio AAP Practice of Pediatrics Pillar-Diversity and Inclusion Equity Representative
- Serve as a member of a community or group that is often under-represented, such as by race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical ability, religion or other unique experience to provide personal insight and experience in the areas of inclusion and equity.
- Serve as a member of the Practice of Pediatrics Pillar to assist the Chapter to broaden the scope and impact of its work to better support and reflect the needs and diversity of the children, families and pediatricians in Ohio. This can be in areas such as reviewing materials that are sent to members, as well as materials that are provided directly to families through our programs.
- Serve as an expert in the areas of diversity and inclusion to grow and strengthen the membership of the Ohio AAP to include a more diverse membership overall.
- This representative must have preexisting involvement in Chapter, which can be such as a participant in our meetings and/or programs, a representative for the Chapter in the advocacy arena, or a leadership or expert on a program/project for the Chapter.
