Last Friday September 4th, Ohio AAP hosted our all VIRTUAL Summer Meeting to hundreds across the state, offering free education on teen vaping training and lead screening and prevention. With more than 300+ attendees throughout the day we were able to provide free education and resources for healthcare workers, community partners, students, and more. From the morning’s training on vaping prevention led by our panelists Michele Dritz, MD, FAAP; Jangus Whitner, PharmD, BCACP; Dominique Gambrell; and teen panelists Abigail, Madelyn and Ivy to the afternoon session on lead screening led by Aparna Bole, MD, FAAP and Nicholas Newman, DO, MS, FAAP we had an impactful and exciting session from start to finish. The overwhelming positive response from our attendees let us know we were making a difference and improving health outcomes for children and families in Ohio.
“The summer meeting was one of the most informative and well-organized events that I have participated in (especially since the world went to virtual meetings). Thank you for much for the wealth of knowledge.”
