Ohio Immunization Champion Award Call for Nominations

This year the Association of Immunization Managers (AIM), is hosting the Immunization Champion Award, an award program previously hosted by the CDC and known as the CDC Childhood Immunization Champion Award. This program has expanded to create more opportunities to recognize local immunization efforts. Individuals can be recognized for their work in: Influenza, HPV, or COVID-19 across the lifespan or routine childhood vaccination. Even if you are familiar with the Champion Award, there are updates to the award process and nomination packet.
Who is eligible? Coalition members, community leaders and community activists, parents, healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, physicians’ assistants, medical assistants, nurse practitioners, etc.)
Who is NOT eligible? State immunization program managers, county, state, and federal government employees, individuals affiliated with/or employed by pharmaceutical companies, and any past awardees.
We are looking for nominations to represent Ohio’s Immunization Champion. Nominations are due by 5 pm at close of business on Friday, June 17, 2022. Please share this opportunity with your networks. Completed nomination forms can be sent via email to: Antoinette.Yuhas@odh.ohio.gov.
