Pediatric obesity has worsened dramatically over the last two years. The toll of the pandemic on some of our most vulnerable patients has been staggering. Obesity is a chronic disease and, as such, early identification and effective management are critical. Fortunately, the past few years have also brought advances in the treatment of obesity. Advances have been broad in behavioral interventions, bariatric surgery and pharmacotherapy.
