Pediatricians often care for the most vulnerable patients. Minoritized populations have been shown to experience worse health outcomes and studies have shown implicit bias negatively affects health outcomes of children. Implicit bias affects decision making, treatment recommendations and nonverbal communication. Reducing implicit bias among medical students, pediatric residents and pediatricians can improve the health outcomes of the most vulnerable members of our society-OUR CHILDREN.
