FREE Resources to Improve School Readiness and Literacy in Your Practice

Approximately half of all Ohio children entering kindergarten are not on track in language and literacy skills, according to the Ohio Department of Education state kindergarten readiness assessment. While progress has been made since the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on child learning, only 60% of Ohio 3rd grade students are proficient in reading, and the reading rate is even lower in some subgroups.

As a primary care provider, you offer trusted guidance to parents and caregivers and play a critical role in the growth and development of children physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. During Family Literacy Month in November, join the Ohio AAP and the Ohio Department of Health for a webinar on early literacy and how to help the children in your practice.

What sets Ohio AAP’s education apart?

I enjoy the lunchtime webinars that the Ohio AAP hosts.  While they may not always specifically be geared to things in my practice, many of them have good tips and I always come away with knowledge that I did not have before, which is great!  I try to sign up and join them whenever my schedule allows!
