Advocacy Update – Issue 1 Defeated by Ohio Voters

Yesterday, Ohioans voted against Issue 1, a measure that would have changed current law and made it so Amendments to the Ohio Constitution would require a 60% supermajority to pass. With nearly all ballots now counted, the measure is looking to fail 57% to 43%.

Issue 1 would have taken away the will and rights of Ohioans and undermined the principle of one person, one vote. The Ohio AAP thanks all those who voted in yesterday’s election and made their voice heard! As child health advocates, we are proud to serve and protect Ohio’s most vulnerable and defend the rights and safety of all Ohioans.
