Overview & Priorities

The Ohio AAP’s Advocacy Pillar coordinates the Chapter’s state

legislative efforts and overall messaging. Pillar members aim to be

the “experts at the table” for children’s issues in the state of Ohio.

Our Advocacy leaders spend many hours at the Ohio statehouse, meeting

with representatives and other children’s and physician organizations,

to advocate for our members and the children of Ohio. We welcome your

involvement in this pillar and our advocacy activities.

House Bill 9: Prohibit sales of dextromethorphan without a prescription to persons under age 18

House Bill 61: “Save Women’s Sports Act” to require schools, state institutions of higher education, and private colleges to designate separate single-sex teams and sports for each sex.

House Bill 350: Prohibit mandatory COVID-19 vaccination, vaccine proof

House Bill 283: Prohibit driving while using electronic communications device
