The Ohio AAP’s Operations Pillar oversees all aspects of the Chapter, PillarIcons_Operationsincluding the fiscal responsibility for the organization and working to secure funding for Chapter programs. This pillar includes the Planning, Implementation and Performance (PIP) Committee, which evaluates the Chapter’s existing and potential programs, including Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part IV Quality Improvement projects.

Operations Pillar Goals:

  1. Engage new personnel and broader groups of physicians in joining the Planning, Implementation and Performance (PIP) Committee
  2. Market PIP Programs more effectively
  3. Promote Ohio AAP project outcomes and highlight the impact on Ohio’s children
  4. Layer sustainability into Ohio AAP program Maintenance of Certification requirements
  5. Enhance knowledge of PIP program Medical Directors regarding program management

Operations Pillar Meetings:

Upcoming PIP Meetings for 2016-2017 will be held at the Ohio AAP Offices on:

  • Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 10am to 2pm
  • Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 10am to 2pm
  • Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 10am to 2pm

The Ohio AAP is looking for Chapter members with an interest in Quality Improvement to participate in the Planning, Implementation and Performance (PIP) Committee. This committee oversees the Chapter’s quality improvement programs from design to implementation and evaluation. The PIP Committee is especially interested in adding:

  • General pediatricians
  • Subspecialists
  • Family practitioners
  • Residents/Young physicians
