Toothbrushes and Books Available for Your Practice in New Program

The Ohio AAP is excited to announce a pilot of the Brush, Book, Bed (BBB) Program for Ohio AAP member primary care providers. BBB is a program that uses simple messaging and resources for health professionals to share with families on three important health behaviors – toothbrushing, early literacy, and sleep routines. Program materials help providers discuss these topics at all well-child visits for children six months to six years of age.

The Ohio AAP has partnered with the Delta Dental Foundation for a pilot of BBB in primary care practices in Ohio. Three practices will be selected to participate based on need and location. Participating practices will receive books and oral health materials to distribute to patients, while collecting feedback to determine the impacts of this program and opportunities for additional oral health and early literacy efforts.
