Ohio Mom Shares How Her Son Nearly Died to Raise Awareness for Safe Sleep

Infant mortality is a significant public health problem in the United States, and particularly in Ohio, where 3 babies die every week in an unsafe sleepĀ area. On Saturday, June 3, 2017, Ohio AAP member Jamie Macklin, MD, FAAP, was joined by Cleveland mom, Brittany Randall, to share the importance of following safe sleep guidelines.

Brittany’s young son nearly died in an unsafe sleep area earlier this year and she is passionate about sharing her story to help other parents understand the importance of following the guidelines.
