Ohio AAP Receives Special Achievement Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics

The Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (Ohio AAP) was honored to accept a Special Achievement Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics. The award states the Ohio Chapter is being recognized “for distinguished service and dedication to the mission and goals of the academy for continuing to lead in its MOC/QI opportunities for members.”

The award specifically mentions expanding our Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part II trainings to three other Chapters at no cost. The Ohio Chapter holds ABMS Portfolio Sponsorship.

“The past several years have seen incredible growth with our programming,” said Melissa Wervey Arnold, Chief Executive Officer of the Ohio AAP. “The Chapter works very hard to seek funding and create programs to provide to our members and potentially spread to other states and we are so thankful to be recognized.”

The award was presented to Chapter representatives at the AAP District Meeting in Ontario, Canada on August 11, 2017.
