Want to Increase Adolescent Well Visits in Your Practice?

The Ohio AAP, in partnership with UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Ohio, is recruiting practices to take part in the Transforming Adolescent Care Learning Collaborative (TALK) Wave 2! This program is focused on increasing the number of comprehensive well visits for adolescents.

With ongoing brain development coupled with physical and social changes happening at a tremendous pace — adolescence and young adulthood is a signifiant time of development. Pediatricians understand the importance of regular well visits as an opportunity to monitor adolescents’ medical, emotional and developmental well-being, while also implementing the recommended preventive care. If you share these concerns, take advantage of the Transforming Adolescent Care learning Collaborative!

How can you benefit from joining TALK Wave 2?

  • American Board of Pediatrics Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part IV Credit
  • Gift cards to incentivize office staff
  • Communication tools from statewide experts to improve office operations
  • Assistance from a Clinical Practice Consultant (CPC) through UnitedHealthcare in contacting assigned patients and scheduling appointments
  • Unique opportunity to pilot a new tool to promote safety titled “Say Something,” from the Sandy Hook Promise organization

The Learning Session will be scheduled in August. For more information, contact Kaley Langenderfer at (614) 846-6258.
