Join the Conversation with Ohio’s Payers with the Pediatric Care Council

You can be a part of very important conversations with Ohio’s managed care organizations and commercial insurance companies on ways to collaborate to promote children’s health and problem-solve common issues. Please join the Ohio AAP for the physician-only strategy session of the Pediatric Care Council on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. This strategy meeting, which will be a conference call, is aimed at gathering feedback from Ohio AAP members on what strategies to focus on for the upcoming year.

  1. Strategies on Office Coding
  2. Strategies on Relationship with Insurers
  3. Input from Members & Participants

Please RSVP by emailing Melanie Farkas and you will be sent the call-in information.

The Pediatric Care Council meets 3-4 times a year with the payers. In addition, there are often meetings, calls or emails to discuss issues the Council helps resolve for Ohio physicians. The Council was instrumental in resolving a vaccine payment issue in 2017 with the managed care companies after obtaining an in-person meeting with the leadership at the Ohio Department of Medicaid.

Mark your calendar for the remaining Pediatric Care Council in-person meetings in 2018:

  • September 13, 2018, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m., Cherry Valley Lodge, Newark
  • December 7, 2018, 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Ohio Association of Health Plans in Columbus

To be added to the invite list, please email Melanie Farkas.
