Improve School Readiness and Learn How to Properly Code to Maximize Reimbursement for Vision Screening

When vision concerns are addressed early, children have improved school-readiness, word recognition and reading ability. They also experience higher self-esteem and social engagement!

The Ohio AAP’s Preschool Vision Screening project provides a wonderful opportunity to train staff in evidence-informed approaches for vision screening to become certified vision screeners. Through practice coaching support, the Ohio AAP will ensure that your billing and coding processes are up to date and operationalize the unbundling of vision screening services.

Project highlights:

  • 6-month QI collaborative – launching in February 2020
  • 25 points of MOC IV credit
  • Convenient on-site training in vision screening, coding/billing and creating a culture of QI in your practice
  • Opportunity to engage in a statewide network of pediatric quality improvement leaders and learners through Ohio AAP
  • Up-to-date vision screening equipment for your practice ($950 Value)

o  Vision in Preschools (VIP) Complete Package (tests for distance visual acuity) with PASS 2 (tests for stereopsis):
