Free Oral Health Workshop

As part of its work to improve the oral health of Ohio’s children through education and advocacy, the Children’s Oral Health Action Team (COHAT) is hosting a series of 5 Free Oral Health Workshops. Attached you will find the flyer for the workshops that contains more information about the trainings.

The free workshops will focus on Prenatal Oral Healthcare and Treating Children Under Age Three.

The purpose of the free workshops is to educate oral health providers and stakeholders about the importance of prenatal and postnatal oral health care and its benefits in the prevention of early childhood cavities.  Attendees will learn effective techniques to educate parents and caregivers about the importance of oral health care for infants and young children.  5-hours of continuing education credits will be available for Physicians, Nurses, Dentists, Dental Hygienists and Social Workers.

Who Should Attend??

Obstetricians, Family Doctors, Pediatricians, Nurses, Dentists, Hygienists, Practice Managers, Head Start Program Managers, WIC Program Managers

*5-hrs of CE’s will be available for Physicians, Nurses, Dentists, Hygienists & Social Workers*

The workshops will be held from 9am – 3pm (including lunch) in the following cities:

  • Columbus – February 27th 
  • Canton – March 20th
  • Athens – April 17th
  • Toledo – May 15th
  • Cincinnati – June 5th
