The Parenting at Mealtime and Playtime (PMP) team is excited to present regional trainings in 2017! More than 200 child healthcare providers attended trainings so far in 2017.
The PMP program fuses nutrition and play guidance with the parent-child interaction during meals, playtime and daily structure. The trainings, being offered across the state, provide an innovative, sustainable approach to building healthy habits among birth to five year-olds. Gain knowledge in:
- Prevention counseling strategies
- Risk assessment skills
- Communications with families about childhood obesity and the importance of early intervention
The training will help providers enhance their obesity-prevention skills, with each participant receiving a “swag bag” of resources, compliments of the Ohio AAP. We invite you to learn how to address obesity concerns and start health weight discussions.
Registration is closed for the current 2017 regional presentations. More presentations are in the planning phase. Check back for updates or contact Lisa Weston via email or (614) 846-6258.
